Join Us for Food and Flick Fridays
The first of this season’s Firestone’s Food & Flick Fridays was held Friday, June 2, 2017 at Settler’s Park in the Oak Meadows subdivision. Music was provided by Ash Ganley. The featured movie was the original version of Beauty and the Beast.
Cleanup Day 2017
The Firestone Public Works Department hosted its 16th annual Cleanup Day on May 6, 2017. Over the years, the event has evolved into more than just a chance for Firestone residents to have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted items.
Firestone Launches its First Flag Contest
Based on recommendations from the Cultural Committee, the Firestone Board of Trustees launched the Town’s First Annual Firestone Design-a-Flag Contest. The contest is open to all Firestone children aged eight to eleven years old.
AFW Flag Retirement Ceremony
The American Legion Post 1985 held a retirement ceremony for worn, used, tattered, frayed or other damaged American Flags. The event is held bi-annually. The first event this year was held on May 6, 2017 at the Firestone Public Works Department.
“Santa Cops” Awards
At the regular meeting of the Town Board on April 26, 2017, Chief David Montgomery on behalf of the Santa Cops program provided awards to major Firestone sponsors of the program.
